How this works
Click on the background in your photo. The tool spreads out from that point and erases every connected pixel of a similar color, stopping naturally at the edge of your subject — similar to a "magic wand" tool. Raise the tolerance slider to catch more shading variation in the background; lower it if the tool starts spreading into part of your subject.
What this tool is good for
This works well for solid-color backgrounds — a white or plain-colored studio backdrop, a product photo on a single-color surface, or a logo on a flat background. It removes color, not subjects, so it won't cleanly cut out a complex photo background the way a full AI segmentation tool would.
My photo has a busy or photographic background
This tool isn't the right fit for that — since it works by matching color rather than recognizing the subject, a background with many different colors and textures won't erase cleanly. It's built specifically for the plain-background case.
